YS quotes Machiavelli's Prince, "it was much more importatnt to be feared than loved". Absolutely. The US should apply this in its foreign policy and use it to govern our military preparedness. Great blog! I like the mix of original articles and external links. I think Obama should hit BP with everything we've got. If we need to scare companies into being socially responsible, I say we do it!

Gonna be sunny one day... and the Gulf will be dead, 1/2 America unemployed and the US a 3rd rate nation.
Pres-O came to power by harnessing the spirit of America... he's governed by coddling the banksters and military industrial complex. He either believes that is the only hope to stabilize the nation or he's so afraid he can't take action.
